This course will run for 2 days per week over 4 weeks and provides an excellent opportunity to build the skills and confidence needed to effectively think about moving towards work.

Each day participants will cover a different topic including confidence and self-esteem and will learn additional life skills to empower themselves to try new things.  We will also look at communication, assertiveness, dealing with stress, life balance, finance and budgeting, decision making and coping with change.  Training will finish with a Peer Support outing to various City locations to practice new life skills.

In addition there will be external workshops from Glasgow council on Alcohol, money Matters, Life Link and Home Energy Scotland (subject to availability).  This will help clients to feel empowered to explore the world of work and how work can be good for you.

Starts: Wednesday 6th November

Timetable: Course runs for 4 weeks, 2 days each week (Wednesday and Thursday) from 9.30am to 3.30pm

Duration: 4 weeks

Venue: Whiteinch Community Centre, 1 Northinch Street, Whiteinch, Glasgow, G14 0UG

Suitable for: Glasgow City Council residents who are unemployed and aged over 18*

Additional Info: Travel expenses will be provided for the duration of course
