This course will enhance employability skills; covering the areas of CV development, application forms, and interviews. In addition, participants have the opportunity to take part in a mock interview to receive supportive feedback.
The course is delivered over 3 weeks:
- Building confidence and communication skills, identifying individual skills and then learning the ways in which to express these to an employer via a CV.
- Recognising how to get the most out of job sites and learning how to complete application forms.
- Learning how to prepare for interviews and manage performance, reviewing competency based (STARR) interviews. Then take part in a mock interview and receive feedback to support development.
This course provides an excellent opportunity to build the skills and confidence needed to effectively search and apply for jobs, and then communicate with employers.
Starts: Monday 4th November
Timetable: Course runs for 3 weeks, 2 days each week (Monday and Wednesday) from 9.30am to 3.30pm
Duration: 3 weeks
Venue: Whiteinch Community Centre, 1 Northinch Street,Whiteinch, Glasgow, G4 0PL
Suitable for: Glasgow City Council residents who are unemployed and aged over 18*
