Interview

 

Childcare Worker x 1 (Part Time 17.5 hours per week – Maternity Leave cover, currently anticipated to the end of September 2017)

The Childcare Worker will work as part of a childcare team to deliver a high standard of childcare and education, being responsible for the care and well-being of a group of children within a supportive, supervised environment.  They will participate in the planning of the physical environment with imaginative use of both indoors and outdoors space whilst utilising both Pre Birth to Three and Curriculum for Excellence curriculum guidance.  Jobs & Business Glasgow have a number of childcare establishments across Glasgow and the successful candidate may be required to work from any of these locations.

Applicants must have experience of working in a pre-5 environment, knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and a relevant childcare qualification (i.e. an HNC in Childcare and Education or equivalent).

The successful candidate must also be registered with SSSC and be a member of the PVG Scheme.

Sessional Childcare Worker x 4 (Hours as and when required)

The Sessional Childcare Worker will work as and when required, covering staff absence and annual leave.  They will be responsible for planning, organising and taking part in play and leisure activities for children and young people.  The work is varied involving activities ranging from art and crafts, drama, taking children on outings, cookery, outdoor games and active sports.  Jobs & Business Glasgow have a number of childcare establishments across Glasgow and the successful candidate may be required to work from any of these locations.

Applicants must have experience of working in a pre-5 environment, knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and a relevant childcare qualification (i.e. an HNC in Childcare and Education or equivalent).

After School Worker x 1 (17.5 hours per week during term time and 35 hours per week during school holidays)

The After School Worker will provide children with positive, interactive and educational out of school activities, engaging with children from 5 to 16 years with a range of planned/programmed activities in a safe, fun environment.  They will also be responsible for ensuring children are collected safely from school and taken to the after school facility; this can either be on foot or by minibus.

Applicants must have a knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and a relevant childcare qualification (i.e. SVQ2/SVQ3 in Playwork or equivalent).

The successful candidate must also be registered with SSSC and be a member of the PVG Scheme.
