Wage subsidies through the Glasgow Guarantee

Through the Glasgow Guarantee, we can help you invest in Glasgow’s future by supporting you to recruit and train new talent.

The scheme offers an Employer Recruitment Incentive (ERI) with:

• Financial support of up to £8,000

• Additional funding for staff training and development

• Business support from a dedicated adviser

• Access to a pool of work-ready candidates who’ve received pre-employment support

Our advisers will guide you through every step — from understanding how the scheme can benefit your business to getting registered. Once approved, you’ll receive your employer login details for the Glasgow Guarantee portal, where you can post and manage vacancies directly.

Modern Apprenticeships

Through the Glasgow Guarantee, we can help your business take on an apprentice while accessing financial support of up to £8,000.

We’ll guide you through every step — from checking eligibility and registering your business, to posting vacancies and managing applications on the Glasgow Guarantee employer portal.

The scheme promotes Fair Work and supports businesses that pay the Real Living Wage. You’ll also get access to a pool of work-ready candidates who’ve already received pre-employment support.
